Taking Lessons on private ground is great fun but more importantly gives you a huge advantage. There is SO MUCH that can be learnt including the manoeuvers. Our driving center is at Winchester Farm, Cheddar and our insurance allows us to teach pupils of ANY age. We run our lessons on most Saturdays, all year round. It’s a fantastic way to build skill and confidence in equal measures and give yourself a real advantage for when you turn 17.
Our young driver lessons are held on private land, so no provisional licence is needed. Pupils of ALL AGES are welcome, and there’s no previous experience required. Whether you’re completely new to driving, eager to get ahead or an older person who wants to catch up. We’ll guide you every step of the way with patience and professionalism. Many of our early learners find they need fewer lessons once they progress to the road, saving time and money in the long run. It’s an investment in your future. Particularly useful for pupils who are of a nervous disposition
What You’ll Learn on your first lesson
- How to prepare the car and a brief introduction to the controls
- Moving off, clutch control, and stopping
- Steering techniques and the reasoning behind them
- How to change gear
- Reversing
Further lesson build on the skills learnt in lesson one and introduce the manoeuvers needed for the test
Flexible Lessons to Suit Every Learner
Our most popular sessions are one hour long and packed with as much learning as possible to make the most of your time behind the wheel. We also offer half-day intensive courses, and a six hour premium course (6 x 1hr), both ideal for pupils approaching their 17th birthday who want to make rapid progress in a short space of time. We can however, tailor a package that suits you.
All lessons are one-to-one, delivered by a friendly, fully qualified instructor, and take place in our dual-controlled driving school vehicles. That means we can step in whenever needed, giving you the freedom to learn while knowing you’re in safe hands at all times.
